Hey there, I’m Jasmine Westbrooks, MS,RD,CDCES registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN, certified diabetes care and education specialist, media dietitian, spokesperson, content creator and community advocate residing in Raleigh, North Carolina.

 

I operate 2 businesses Nourish Through Nutrition and EatWell Exchange. My focus includes preventing diabetes and other nutrition related diseases, diabetes education and mindful weight management through a non-restrictive approach to eating healthy foods.

 

Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated and uninspiring to adopt. I will teach you principles and strategies to reach your nutrition and health goals without jeopardizing your relationship with food while sustaining healthy habits for a lifetime.

my story..

I remember about 9 years ago when I believed that the only way to get healthy and lose sustainable weight was by trying restrictive diets to present a body image I thought was healthy. 

 

I was overwhelmed with work and school, I had no accountability to help me make healthy choices and sustainable behaviors, plus I thought I had to restrict foods to be “healthy “.

 

Everyday I would ask myself why do I constantly I feel fatigued and still can’t lose the weight I gained from a lifestyle that never aligned with me and why does this keep happening to me ? 

 

How am I going to get past this fear of failure and frustration ? Is it going to be this way always ? 

​

So grateful that I’ve learned that I don’t have to live like that anymore! Once I learned how to shift my mindset around eating healthy, creating a sense of mindfulness around my eating habits and rebuilding to nourish my body, my life started to change for the better and I would never go back . 

 

Today I am more confident in actively following habits that are sustainable for my health and my body.

Nourish through nutrition provides virtual nutrition guidance through a progressive health journey. This partnership between clients is built on accountability and trust. As a result, our clients thrive in every circumstance so that making healthy choices becomes second nature to their being with longevity to be followed. This is nourishing your body made easy! I do this through the following pillars: Mindset, Mindfulness, Environment, Nutrition & Movement, sustainability and rest and recovery

 

I contribute regularly to a variety of media outlets though articles, freelance writing, spokesperson and created partnerships with a variety of companies and organizations. I am a consent content creator and develop recipes. In addition to working with food and nutrition companies, I am a professional speaker (so book me for your next speaking engagement!) and have spoken on a variety of health and nutrition panels and conferences nationwide.

I hold my bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (Go Mocs!) and my Master degree in nutrition education from Rosalind Franklin University at North Chicago, IL.
